Product Description
The Broadcom P2200G is a dual-port 200GbE PCIe Ethernet network adapter built around Broadcom's Thor 2 (BCM57608) controller, designed to build highly scalable, feature-rich networking solutions for enterprise and cloud-scale servers. Each QSFP112 port operates at up to 200Gbps, or the two ports can combine into a single 400GbE interface, connecting to the host over a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot that matches the bandwidth of modern CPU and GPU platforms. The adapter pairs a high-bandwidth Ethernet controller with hardware acceleration engines, including fourth-generation RoCEv2 with hardware congestion control, on-chip Geneve/VXLAN/NVGRE tunnel offload that can cut CPU utilization by up to 90 percent, and the TruFlow engine for line-rate virtual-switch processing. Up to 16-function NIC partitioning and SR-IOV support dense multi-tenant and virtualized deployments, while a silicon Root-of-Trust with secure boot and attestation, plus TruManage system management, round out the platform for AI/ML, cloud, HPC, and storage applications.
